For over 30 years, Reva Stone has used digital technologies to initiate conversations about the impact of biotechnological and robotic practices on the very nature of being human.  Her work examines the complex relationship between our bodies and the technologies that are changing the way we interact with the world. Examples include Imaginal Expression (2004-05), an endlessly mutating responsive 3D environment, Carnevale 3.0 (2000-02) an autonomous robot that reflects on the nature of memory and human consciousness, and Portal (2010-12), an interactive installation that combines custom software, media, robotics and mobile phone technology.  She has exhibited widely across Canada, and in the US and Europe.  She is a leader in the Winnipeg media arts community and a mentor to numerous women artists.
