Congratulations to COLIN MUIR DORWARD, MFA '13

We are pleased to announce that Colin Muir Dorward's painting The Nature of Things (2014), has recently been acquired by the National National Gallery of Canada for their permanent collection! 

About Colin Muir Dorward:
Colin Muir Dorward has led an itinerant life. He spent childhood in Singapore, was raised in Edmonton, and obtained his BFA from Emily Carr University in 2007. He was selected as a finalist in the 2012 RBC Painting Competition, and won Honorable Mention in the 2013 competition - the same year he acquired his MFA from the University of Ottawa. In the fall of 2014, he was awarded the Robert and Isabel Pope Painter’s Residency at NSCAD University. He has exhibited across Canada at venues including The National Gallery of Canada, SAW Gallery, Carleton University Art Gallery, The Power Plant, and The Anna Leonowens Gallery. His work is held in numerous private and public collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, the RBC Corporate Art Collection and the City of Ottawa Art Collection. Dorward will commence his PhD studies at Western University in the fall of 2015.
